In the screenshot below, you will see that there are individual text boxes sitting on top of the default text boxes on different slides. To change the font type of these boxes, you will need to use a different feature. This is because these text boxes are not part of the default text boxes in a PowerPoint presentation, so they will not inherit the preferences set in the master slide. If you have inserted individual text boxes in separate slides they will not be affected by the font change you performed above. Now the whole presentation will display the font type you selected. They’re graphical elements that can convey meaning and emotion to your presentation, making it more memorable and meaningful. This works great for systems like, where many typefaces are often downsized to a basic Arial or Times Roman font. All the slides will convert to graphics- rendering them uneditable and will destroy any animations- but any concern of incompatibilities with typefaces will be gone. #10: Save as a PowerPoint picture presentation.īy saving your presentation as a series of jpg photos (File…Save As…JPG), you can be assured of a “What You See is What Your Get” presentation. The revised option has the text converted to black and spanned across 3 pages for easy readability.Ĭapitalizing makes letters harder to read and takes up more space. Steps to take to define your fonts in your PowerPoint’s theme. By using preset fonts, it’s fast and easy to change the overall look and font of a presentation instantly! Collectively, preset fonts, colors and templates/layouts are called “Themes”. But a template can also have pre-defined fonts…for the title and body of a slide. Typically, for rock music i do not need to merge title and movement fields as the moevement field is empty. Can you give some examples of the actions you would like to do for classical music only? I used Cambridge CXU as a renderer, Bubbleupnp as control point and Synology If any of you have an idea, he is welcome ! It would enable me to have the right view for each type of music. For exemple, i would like to do actions only if the track belongs to classical music. The only thing i am missing in minimserver is conditional choice. Anyway, the track number puts everything in the right order, but it is useful to see what you listen. In Minimserver, i have merged title and movement to see what i was playing. Then i had to find a server able to display this information in a readable manner. Other name commonly used is refered as a comment. I have done that to be able to find quickly in Foobar a given composition. It is created with a number to indicate which movement it is and additional info like adagio, andante, etc. ![]() And for title, i reference the catalog number when it exists rather than a name (BWV for Bach, RV for Vivaldi, etc.) and i created a movement field. For Classical musical i created additional fields like area (Baroque, Classical, middle-age, etc.), performer (I use the composer as artist), instruments, tone, country. I tagged my music with Foobar that is highly flexible. I am happy to share my experience with tagging classical music and you'll understand why i ended up using minimserver and nothing else. ![]() It doesn’t matter to Jesus that He’s accused of giving away God’s grace too cheaply. He comes to us as one who “mismanages” the Father’s goods, throwing away God’s mercy and forgiveness on us. The steward desires to be received by them, and the way that happens is by forgiveness, by debts being cut and taken away. And to the one who owes 100 measures of wheat, his bill is reduced to 80. Do you see? He’s talking about Himself and the way things are in the kingdom of God.įor what does the steward do in today’s Gospel? He goes around to everyone forgiving debt! To the one who owes 100 measures of oil, his bill is reduced to 50. And now He tells a parable about a steward who was supposedly mismanaging goods. Jesus had just been accused of wasting His time and efforts on tax collectors and sinners, throwing away His Father’s “goods,” mercy and forgiveness, on people such as that. Jesus had just finished telling the story of the prodigal son in chapter 15. For remember what occurred right before today’s Gospel. However, I would suggest that in a deeper sense, the steward in the parable actually represents Christ Himself, the eternal manager of the heavenly Father’s goods. Have we always used the money and possessions and abilities that we’ve received from God to serve our neighbor and to help build up the Church and the ministry of the Gospel? And when we have done that (because we know it’s the right thing to do), has there still been a struggle against the flesh which wants to use our resources for other things? Isn’t it usually harder to give a significant amount of money in offerings to church or an anonymous charitable gift than it is to spend the same amount for entertainment or a trip or some new thing you’ve always wanted? Or in our stewardship as parents and grandparents, have we encouraged our children’s devotion more to extracurricular activities or to the Word of God, pleasing their peers or pleasing the Lord? Are we more concerned about them making a good living or having eternal life? And are we ourselves more concerned with how we look to family and friends or how we look to God? More interested in our physical health and appearance or our spiritual health and endurance in the faith? The truth is, if we were called before the Lord to give an account of our stewardship, to lay out not only our bank statements but also the dreams and desires and motivations of our hearts, there also would be cause for us to be dismissed from our stewardship. To begin with, we should ask the question: whom does the steward represent? First of all, he represents us according to our old Adam, who have often been poor stewards of the goods of the Master, the things the Lord has entrusted to us. ![]() So what are we to learn from this? What is Jesus’ point? That unexpected and unusual thing is the key to this parable. Jesus actually holds up as an example a man who mismanaged his master’s goods and then cheated the master out of what the people owed him so that after he was fired they would give him room and board. In the parable of the Sower and the Seed, it’s the Sower scattering seed recklessly on all types of soil–doesn’t He know better? And in today’s Gospel parable it’s that the one being praised is the unjust steward. In the parable of the Good Samaritan it’s the fact that the good guy is not the respected priest but the despised foreigner–what’s up with that?. In the parable of the Lost Sheep, it’s the shepherd who leaves the 99 alone in the wilderness just to go after the one–that’s odd. If you want to understand the meaning of a parable, one of the things you can do is to look for the part that seems a little bit strange and unexpected. ✠ In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit ✠ ![]() ![]() $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dupeguru/ppa.If you’re ready to test it out, use these commands: The fuzzy matching algorithm is super-fast and speedily scans the folders. We have talked a lot about storage and compute, that leaves out one thing and that is networking. So storage benchmarking is never isn’t as simple as running dd to a disk. Workloads like video streaming can benefit from higher sequential reads whereas databases can really benefit from higher random IOPs. Sequential reads, sequential writes as well as random IOPs are to be considered to select your perfect SSD. IOzone lets you have a really close peek at how your storage is doing. The longer it takes for information to reach your CPU, the slower your experience will be. Secondary storage, like your SSDs, are major bottlenecks. Modern CPUs and memory are fast enough that once a program or a data reaches them it can then quickly be read or executed. Perhaps not the foremost consideration while building a PC or a server, your SSDs are important. Their latest post detailing the impact of spectre and meltdown mitigation patches on your system’s performance is something I can personally recommend. Moreover, the official website for Phoronix offers a very in depth analysis of the benchmarking procedures, in case you are new to this field. It is extremely powerful, flexible and useful for both sysadmins as well as desktop enthusiasts. The framework it offers is extensible and can accomodate any number of different tests that you may want to see your system perform. Moreover, it is completely open source and not just free to use. Phoronix offers a more complete set of tools for benchmarking nearly any aspect of your system. The crossplatform nature of the software can also help you choose the best operating system for your rig, on top of letting you compare various hardware options. You can install it on macOSX, Windows and, of course, Linux. The reason it is first on the list is because it is cross-platform. This benchmark can be used to test both your CPU and GPU to the utmost for certain workloads like video rendering and content creation. Now that the PC and desktop computing war is waging at an all time high between AMD and Intel and also AMD and Nvidia, this benchmark is strongly recommended. We need some standard set of tools that we can use to benchmark our systems, get a simple to understand result and use it to compare different hardware components and configurations effectively. Given how involved the process of benchmarking is, and how important it is when making a decision. The CPU can be a bottleneck or so can be the memory. For example, if you are benchmarking a system’s performance as a database you can’t just measure the SSD’s speeds and be done with it. ![]() What workloads are you benchmarking for? Benchmarking is probably of one the most mind-bending and involved process of computer science and technology. |
